Such a cozy favorite!

Pot full of homemade creamy chicken noodle soup served with a side of bread.

Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

Aren't most things better when they have the addition of cream? This chicken noodle soup is no exception.

It's very similar to the traditional homestyle chicken noodle soup just richer and creamier. And it's perfectly soul warming and satisfying.

This soup is so over-the-top delicious that it's easily worthy of the dinner rotation.

You'll find it's also a versatile soup. You can switch up the pasta, try different vegetables, or use a rotisserie chicken if that's what you've got on hand.

We love it served with beautifully browned, artisanal style fresh bread for dipping and a seasonal side salad.

A super cozy soup made with noodles (or homemade rivels), tender browned chicken, sweet corn, salty bacon, plenty of veggies and a lightly creamy broth. Such a satisfying soup to make year round!

Chicken Noodle Soup with Corn and Bacon!

Can you add corn to chicken noodle soup? Absolutely and it makes such a delicious soup!

That's just what you get in this soup recipe. It's like chicken noodle soup upgraded with fresh juicy corn, plus we dot it in some bacon and blend in some cream for good measure.

It's also similar to a chowder, and it's adaptable to what you have on hand (as usual see ideas below). For instance you can replace bacon with ham or make this Pennsylvania Dutch style with homemade mini dumplings called rivels in place of noodles (making the soup completely from scratch!).

Pair it with a slice of buttered homemade bread and a simple garden fresh salad with a homemade herby ranch for the most comforting homestyle dinner!

White Hot Chocolate https://www.cookingclassy.com/white-hot-chocolate/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/white-hot-chocolate/#comments Thu, 08 Dec 2022 05:13:44 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=66246 Homemade White Hot Chocolate - This dreamy and decadent drink is rich and creamy, brimming with white chocolate and vanilla flavor, it has the perfect balance of sweetness, and it's a fancy drink for the holidays with it's bright and billowy presentation.

Love white chocolate vanilla bean treats? Also try my triple layer Vanilla Bean Cheesecake (with Mousse!). It's easily one of my all time favorite desserts!

Three servings of white hot chocolate in clear glass mugs.

The BEST White Hot Chocolate

I'd dare say this velvety drink is the BEST white hot chocolate! Far better than any mix you'll by, better than what you'll get at a local shop, and yes even better than Starbucks white hot chocolate.

It's company-worthy and loved by people of all ages. And you wouldn't believe how easy it is to make.

Plus it only requires 4 ingredients (along with a pinch of salt), and it's perfectly customizable (see some fun ideas below).

It's also an unexpected and welcome change from the classic chocolate flavored hot chocolate.

You can also double or triple the recipe for a bigger crowd, just use a pot instead of a saucepan.

What more could you want on a chilly winter day than this warm, inviting, vanilla bean flecked white hot chocolate?

Roast Turkey Recipe https://www.cookingclassy.com/roast-turkey-recipe/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/roast-turkey-recipe/#comments Sun, 13 Nov 2022 19:27:53 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=49381 This Roast Turkey recipe is a holiday staple! Made with a fresh or frozen and thawed turkey, lots of rich butter, fresh herbs, a hint of bright lemon, and flavorful onion and garlic. It's easy to prepare and it's sure to impress family and friends!

The Perfect Roast Turkey Recipe!

I don't know what it is about roasting a turkey but it can seem like one of the most intimidating things to prepare and cook for the first time. Maybe it's because it's generally made to feed a lot of people so along with that comes the stress of possibly messing dinner up for a lot of people, plus being served on Thanksgiving means it's that once a year special event.

This easy, straightforward recipe is hard to mess up by following the simple guidelines and steps (as in, don't begin with a partial frozen turkey and be sure you fully cook it through).

The secret in this turkey recipe is in the butter and flavorings. The butter helps yield a nicely browned skin and a juicy, flavorful meat while the lemon and herbs infuse a nice flavor.

This roast turkey will be the star of the show at your holiday feast with it's delicious flavor and moist, tender texture. It's a turkey that does the yearly tradition proud!

Easy Canned Pumpkin Soup https://www.cookingclassy.com/pumpkin-soup/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/pumpkin-soup/#comments Sat, 29 Oct 2022 03:14:25 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=65525 The easiest, tastiest canned Pumpkin Soup recipe! This creamy, cozy soup is one of the ultimate fall soups. It's warmly spiced, perfectly sip-able, and those toppings of salty smoked bacon and crunchy pumpkin seeds take it over the top!

This post is sponsored by Danish Creamery. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Best Pumpkin Soup!

This is my idea of the best pumpkin soup! It's like autumn in a bowl and it has such an inviting flavor. Plus, it couldn't be easier.

No chopping, seeding, roasting, or pureeing pumpkin is necessary in this recipe. Believe it or not, this starts with canned pumpkin and you will be wowed by the end result!

Part of the secret to what makes it so good is the indulgent Danish Creamery Butter. This premium butter takes a bland fruit or veggie and turns it into something that is perfectly highlighted with rich flavor (sometimes I even sneak in 2 extra tablespoons of the butter!).

Danish Creamery has been using the same recipe to make their butter since 1895. Using just two ingredients, high-quality cream and a touch of sea salt.

It’s just the way butter should be. It's the perfect compliment to this soup!

Wondering what to serve with this pumpkin soup? It pairs beautifully with rustic bread for dipping (a hearty French bread or whole wheat are great options), and a fall-inspired side salad such as this delicious kale salad.

Chili Mac https://www.cookingclassy.com/chili-mac/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/chili-mac/#comments Thu, 27 Oct 2022 03:49:18 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=65769 Cozy Chili Mac! It's classic beef chili that's upgraded with macaroni pasta and rich cheese for a flavor mashup that doesn't disappoint! It's all cooked in one pot and a breeze to make.

One Pot Chili Mac

This is the perfect sweater weather recipe! It's hearty, homemade comfort food that's brimming with flavor and it's just the dinner friends and family of all ages will love on a cold day.

One thing I think you'll really appreciate about this recipe is that many of the ingredients are things you may likely already have on hand, especially if you keep a pack or two of ground beef stashed away in the freezer.

And just like regular chili it's so versatile so you can swap in other ingredients you have on hand for those you don't (see ideas below for substitutes). I've added carrots to chili before so really just about anything goes.

Then top it as you'd like with all your favorite toppings. You can't go wrong with a sprinkle of green onions and more cheese!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies https://www.cookingclassy.com/iced-pumpkin-cookies/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/iced-pumpkin-cookies/#comments Wed, 19 Oct 2022 07:58:40 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=26036 Soft and tender, spiced pumpkin cookies are topped with a sweet vanilla icing and rich chocolate icing, then optional finished with pecans for a hint of nutty flavor and crunch. They're reminiscent of a cake donut and such a tempting cookie you'll want to make again and again every fall season!

Pumpkin cookies with chocolate and vanilla icing.

A New Favorite Fall Recipe

We all love the classic pumpkin chocolate chip cookies but sometimes it's nice to switch up tradition for something different but equally as delicious. These iced pumpkin cookies fill that space perfectly.

These are a very similar to those cakey pumpkin flavored cookies we are used to but dark chocolate chips are omitted and instead they're finish them with two types of icing and chopped nuts.

They may just take the winning lead for your favorite fall cookie!

They are fun to decorate two. One way I came up with is to use both types of icing and finish with a criss-cross pattern that becomes a pretty autumn plaid design. All you need is to small resealable bags or two piping bags to create it (and snip a small corner away with scissors to drizzle over).

Just plain on two per person because most likely everyone will want to try each type of icing. Let us know which you love the most!

Creamy Chicken and Corn Chowder https://www.cookingclassy.com/creamy-chicken-corn-chowder/ https://www.cookingclassy.com/creamy-chicken-corn-chowder/#comments Sat, 01 Oct 2022 16:06:12 +0000 https://www.cookingclassy.com/?p=13881 Creamy Chicken and Corn Chowder - A rich and creamy soup made with tender rotisserie chicken, hearty potatoes, flavorful peppers, sweet corn and crisp bacon finish. It’s a fall staple!

Creamy Chicken and Corn Chowder

This is the coziest of soups! It’s loaded to the max with delicious, fresh ingredients and it’s that creamy broth and salty bacon that will keep you craving more.

It has a handy shortcut of pre-cooked chicken, which can be from a rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken.

From there it’s just a bit of chopping, sautéing and allowing enough time on the stovetop to simmer to perfection.

Serve it with cornbread or 1-hour dinner rolls for an ideally comforting meal.

These tender, cake-like, decadent sandwich cookies are a tasty highlight of fall!

Perfect Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

We all love pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, but have you tried pumpkin whoopie pies yet?

They are very similar but rather than being dotted with dark chocolate chips two cookies are layered and meld together with a rich cream cheese frosting in the center. So it's like an irresistible cake but in single serve cookie form, and they're easier to make!

These soft and fluffy cookies are delicious rolled in chopped pecans or walnuts which also adds a light crunch. Or you could try adding some chocolate chips to the cookie dough for an extra decadence.

Try them at least once this fall, you won't regret it!

Plus it can be made at a fraction of the cost and enjoyed in the comfort of your own home in your pjs. It's the perfect cozy way to welcome autumn!

Starbucks Copycat Pumpkin Spice Latte

This simple, sip-able drink is made with pumpkin puree, creamy milk, strong coffee or espresso, a sweet whipped cream topping, and crucial ingredient - plenty of flavorful pumpkin pie spice!

It comes together quickly and there are a several different ways you can make it (see ideas below). Plus with this recipe you can make it year round rather than waiting for the local coffee shop to make it seasonally.

You'll find this warm pumpkin spice latte to be the highlight of lazy fall weekends, the most welcome treat to bring along on chilly autumn walks, or it will make for a tasty pick me up to start a Monday.

If it's still hot out where you live you can also make it into an iced latte. Just use a little less milk, chill thoroughly, then serve it over ice.

Two great options to serve it - cozy and warm or chilled and refreshing. Either way I think you're going to love it!
