Our goal was not just to start another nonprofit or merely to be a dispenser of services. We wanted to join our community as active participants and listen to what the unique needs and opportunities were in the neighborhood. We wanted to partner with those who were already doing good things and join in their work. We wanted to serve and offer our gifts to the community. And so that is exactly what we've begun to do.

As we began to ask the questions about where the needs were in the community, mentoring youth was at the top of the list. After-school programs needed tutors, schools needed volunteers, community organizations needed resources, and families needed more support. We realized that one of the most vital things we could do to create vibrant communities is to invest in our youth. And so that is exactly what we've begun to do.
